Site specific installation for the Close Encounter exhibition in the Jeju Museum of Art, Jeju Island — a volcanic island —, South Korea.
With the assistance of Park Jeon-Eon.
Wood structure, silk, lava stones from Jeju.
460 cm diameter x 120 cm high (15 ft diameter x 4 ft high).

Inspired by the local tombs scattered over Jeju Island, In Memoriam is a construction covered with lava stones, some of which being wrapped with bright silk fabrics of different colors and patterns bought at the local silk market.
